By Chris • Jun 2nd, 2009 • Category: Videos, £100 Betting Bank ChallengeIn this video, I show how much progress I made during May to increase my betting bank.
Did I manage to break through the £300 target that I was hoping to achieve?
Watch the video and find out. It lasts less than 15 mins. Here is the link:

Thank’s for the video Chris! Once again good good good, keep the good job, also i want you to show the guy who is using Mary’s staking plan, but he twicked it a bit and result’s are incredible, i think you will allow this link, as it not advertising link, just have a look he started with 5000 bank, he increased the 5k bank to £6,371.43 in 20 days with strike rate of 87%, so basically good strike and money manegement is the key, also horses with prices under 11.00 only! He start posting on 16-04-2009, today’s bank is nearly 14k!!! This is what proper strike rate and money management does! Have a look here: http://www.expertbettingadvice.co.uk/forum/thread33443.html
Thanks for the link. I am familiar with Maria’s staking plan which is essentially a form of compounding.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Maria, she posted her daily lay selections on a website about 2 years ago and ran her ‘blog’ for about a year. I’ll try to find the link to her posts because they are very educational. Overall, she increased her betting bank from (I think) £5000 to just over £100,000 in that time. She has now become something of a legend in the betting world – but she did show what can be done with patience, determination and a good system for making selections.

Hi Chris
I purchased the Logical Lay system at the beginning of May and am thoroughly delighted with the results to date.
Now, I am old enough and ugly enough to know that every system goes through good and bad patches. The important factor is the historical record and whether the system strike rate and long term average lay price means it will be profitable to level stakes.
Systems that depend on loss recovery staking plans are high risk ventures and the sure way to lose your betting bank.
The Logical Lay System does work to level stakes and for that you are to be congratulated!
I thought you might be interested in the following stats based on the selections for May 2009 if laying to different maximum prices:
Laying all selections
89.3% strike rate
Net points gain 32.57 (after deducting 5% Betfair commission)
Average Lay Price 7.24
Average losing Lay Price 6.42
Laying to maximum price of 7.0
86.95% strike rate
Net points gain 30.46 (after deducting 5% Betfair commission)
Average Lay Price 4.75
Average losing Lay Price 4.58
Laying to maximum price of 6.0
84.9% strike rate
Net points gain 15.71 (after deducting 5% Betfair commission)
Average Lay Price 4.70
Average losing Lay Price 4.38
So, the strike rate holds up at around 85-89% whether you lay at a maximum of 6.0, 7.0 or simply lay all selections at whatever is the going market price. This demonstrates that the system uses very sound filters to make selections. In other words 85-89% of the selections are likely to lose whatever the market price may be. In my opinion, this is the true test of any laying system.
If laying to a maximum price of 7.0, then the net points gain is virtually the same as that achieved by laying all selections, BUT with a much reduced average liability – 4.75 as opposed to 7.24.
Interestingly, limiting the lay price to 6.0 only marginally reduced the average liability but halved the net profit gain – this is because only 43% of all selections were priced at 6.0 or shorter whilst 69% of all losing bets were priced shorter than 6.0 (not surprisingly).
Please note that the average prices given are based on the Betfair prices I was personally matched at when I placed the bet, normally late morning each day. Of course, these probably don’t correlate exactly with your prices or indeed others who use the system.
Three horses stood out as the party poopers in May! Open Sesame (12), Loose Caboose (11.94) and Norman The Great (10.5)
At the present price, the Logical Lay System represents an absolute bargain and indeed still will be at £37 on Clickbank.
If laying at the minimum £2 per bet on Betfair, the system would have returned £65 net profit in the month.
I’ve just watched your latest video on the £100 Betting Bank Challenge which shows that the Logical Lay System produced a net return of 38% on the starting bank at the beginning of the month…..just a bit better than the High street banks!!
Best regards
Byanose

Wow! What an excellent detailed analysis.
I have to admit that I don’t do as much analysis of results as I should – but my excuse is that I’m doing so many different things and trialling different services & techniques that there simply aren’t enough hours in the day.
I believe in introducing new products at a bargain price (especially to previous customers) until the number of copies sold starts rising. I certainly don’t believe in selling hundreds of copies like most of the betting products on Clickbank because I believe it is important that lay prices are not affected by too many people all trying to lay the same selections..
Chris
Thanks for the Maria thread link. I advise that EVERYONE serious about making money from betting should read it through. Yes, there is a huge amount of information but it shows what can be done.
From memory, I do not believe Maria ever revealed how she was making the selections. Obviously the system was a major factor in ensuring that she achieved the results that she did.
