Are you having problems receiving your password?
By Chris • Jan 21st, 2009 • Category: Log In problemsI’ve received some emails from visitors to this blog saying that they’ve registered but haven’t received the email with their password.
This makes it impossible for them to Log In and view the £100 Betting Bank Challenge video.
The problem seems to be caused by the email service that is being used. As you know, email services are doing everything they can to prevent unwanted ‘Spam’ emails from being delivered to their clients’ mailboxes.
Unfortunately, some email services (AOL is particularly notorious) are being over-enthusiastic in blocking what they believe to be Spam emails. It looks as if they regard the emails sent from this blog as being Spam!
I am unable to email your passwords to you because the software that handles the membership features on this blog does not give me access to individual passwords.
If you are having problems receiving your log in password, my advice is to try the following:
a) use the ‘Lost your password?’ link in the Log In section to get another email sent out to you.
b) Check the Spam folder on your mailbox to see if the email has been deposited there.
c) If all else fails, then register using a different email service. Gmail.com – which I’ve tested and which is free to register with – seems to deliver any old email, so you shouldn’t have any problems!

Gmail is, indeed, excellent. Don’t use Yahoo – I know from experience that their servers (at least those in Sweden and Canada) can go down completely or at least behave very oddly for days at a time!
