Punters Prophecy Review

By Chris • Aug 24th, 2009 • Category: Betting System Reviews, Featured, Gambling Products For Sale On Clickbank

I’ve received advance notice of yet another betting manual for which you’ll be receiving promotional emails from just about everyone very soon!

This one is called ‘Punters Prophecy‘ and will be released on Tuesday 25th August at 9am. Now I’m sure you are all gagging to rush off and buy your copy but – before you do – here is my review of the product.

Punters Prophecy consists of a 7-page pdf – the first 3 pages of which can be completely disregarded as regards how the system works. Since Punters Prophecy sells for an astonishing £35, this must make it one of the most expensive betting guides (on a £ per page) that has ever been released.

But is it worth it?

The guide details a 3-step process for selecting low-priced horses to back. It uses free data in the printed and online editions of the Racing Post. The rules are quite simple although there is one paragraph in the guide where there are partial sentences and bits do not make sense.

It is obvious that the guide has not been thoroughly proof-read – inexcusable in a guide that is so short.

Does the system work?

I have no idea. And as usual with these over-hyped products, there is no proof provided whatsoever. The manual does state that the system has been tested over the last year and that the strike-rate is around 50%.

But no list of bets is provided; nor any evidence from proofing to Racing-Index – so you can decide for yourself whether this system seems genuine or not. I daresay that the sales page will be covered with the usual Betfair screenshots suggesting that large profits are easy to make.

(I really must produce a video showing how incredibly easy it is to fake Betfair screenshots!)

Will Punters Prophecy end up topping the Clickbank betting guide best-seller chart soon after it is released. I’m sure it will. Like moths to a flame, there are a large number of punters who are always suckered in to buying these guides.

  1. Don’t knock it, Chris – someone has to take the other side of our bets!

  2. More reviews please, looks interesting for me, if anyone try to use this post some results please and how you rated! It cost 35£ only and 60 days money back…

  3. I’ve now had a chance to look at the sales page for Punters Prophecy and – frankly – I’m not convinced by the “proof”. I’m toying with the idea of doing a video pointing out the shortcomings – but what would be the point when so many people are quite prepared to shell out money on extremely flimsy proof.

All of the screenshots could be faked – I am particularly puzzled by one of the bets which shows Betfair commission as 5.01%. Really? I thought the maximum commission was 5% (as is shown in at least one other screenshot on the website). Could it be that the person faking the screenshot has made a mistake?

  4. Hi Chris

There may be many shortcomings here and much faked, but the Betfair percentage may be OK. I paid 5.02% on one bet yesterday.
    Direct cut and paste:
    2009-08-25
    14:34 8759712749 2009-08-25
14:26 GB Sthl 25th Aug / 14:30 To Be Placed
    Comm Charged 5.02% On Net winnings of SEK29.5 - - - (1.48) 11,090.53

Piece of cake to fake, of course, but it wasn’t an isolated incident. I paid 5.02% AND 5.01% on 17 August, and I don’t bet on many races.

With my stakes I am very much a 5% customer (although I did get a discount briefly a year or so back). I had a win last week of SEK 0.65 (about 50p!) and only paid 4.65%, so I shouldn’t be complaining!!!

  5. Yes Chris i don’t know why, but sometimes i had commission 5.01% ! Also i show you funny tool you can make a screenshot as you made a billions http://www.juicestorm.com/betfairgen/ have fun :)

  6. Interesting. I have had a look at the Betfair commission rules and the commission base rate is shown for each event under the ‘Rules’ tab. A typical commission statement is shown below:

    Commission on this market
5% Market Base Rate (minus your discount)

i have never seen a commission of more than 5% before. I note from your cut ‘n paste copy that you were not betting in GBP and i wonder if this is where a difference in commission rates comes from? But i believe that all of the Punters Prophecy screenshots are in GBP.

  7. What an excellent link!

I have to admit that I have never searched for a Betfair screenshot-altering program (although i did think there would be a market for one and had thought about getting one written!).

This is an excellent piece of software and I will write it up as a separate highlighted post (and maybe make a video) so that everyone can see how amazingly easy it is to fake Betfair screenshots.

  8. That link is indeed excellent. I guess we have all seen its products many times!

As for Betfair’s commission, I had a big (by my standards) lay bet on a grehound this evening, but only SEK0.12 was filled (that’s in the region of one penny, I think!). The dog lost, so I won, and had to pay commission on this. The lowest charge available is (of course) SEK 0.01, which Betfair duly took: 8.33%.

    Evening Cards Romfd 29th Aug / 22:40 S2 575m
Comm Charged 8.33% On Net winnings of SEK0.12

You are right, Chris, that I’m not using GBP – I’m in SEK (Swedish kronor). But wouldn’t this be the same in GBP if you were partially filled and earned, say, a 12p profit?
