As for Betfair’s commission, I had a big (by my standards) lay bet on a grehound this evening, but only SEK0.12 was filled (that’s in the region of one penny, I think!). The dog lost, so I won, and had to pay commission on this. The lowest charge available is (of course) SEK 0.01, which Betfair duly took: 8.33%.

You are right, Chris, that I’m not using GBP – I’m in SEK (Swedish kronor). But wouldn’t this be the same in GBP if you were partially filled and earned, say, a 12p profit?

I have to admit that I have never searched for a Betfair screenshot-altering program (although i did think there would be a market for one and had thought about getting one written!).

This is an excellent piece of software and I will write it up as a separate highlighted post (and maybe make a video) so that everyone can see how amazingly easy it is to fake Betfair screenshots.

i have never seen a commission of more than 5% before. I note from your cut ‘n paste copy that you were not betting in GBP and i wonder if this is where a difference in commission rates comes from? But i believe that all of the Punters Prophecy screenshots are in GBP.

There may be many shortcomings here and much faked, but the Betfair percentage may be OK. I paid 5.02% on one bet yesterday.

Piece of cake to fake, of course, but it wasn’t an isolated incident. I paid 5.02% AND 5.01% on 17 August, and I don’t bet on many races.

With my stakes I am very much a 5% customer (although I did get a discount briefly a year or so back). I had a win last week of SEK 0.65 (about 50p!) and only paid 4.65%, so I shouldn’t be complaining!!!

All of the screenshots could be faked – I am particularly puzzled by one of the bets which shows Betfair commission as 5.01%. Really? I thought the maximum commission was 5% (as is shown in at least one other screenshot on the website). Could it be that the person faking the screenshot has made a mistake?
